Our approach to education

At Reggio’s Treehouse we nurture curiosity, creativity and pay close attention to all aspects of your child's development. We embrace the Reggio Emilia philosophy that teaches children to become self-directed learners and whose guiding principles encourage self-expression and critical thinking.

Through purposeful play, our lead facilitators promote hands-on learning by creating experiences for the children to interact with the environment and providing nurturing guidance with emphasis on social, emotional, and academic developments. The goal is to help our children, among other things, to be able to connect with others, make responsible decisions, communicate, solve problems, think critically, be resilient, persevere, and work in teams, providing our young learners a better chance of thriving in school, career, and life.

Our programs are customized to your child’s progress, needs and age.

REGGIO’S TREEHOUSE LEARNER PROFILE

The learner profile is a group of attributes we instill in all our Reggio’s Treehouse students, regardless of which campus they attend. Our curriculum systematically incorporates these profiles into the daily lesson plans and requires our facilitators to document how children display these attributes.

Fittone & Radici

Infants and Young Toddlers

As they explore and learn through their five senses our lead facilitators encourage their curiosity by providing a variety of developmentally appropriate activities and new opportunities to engage in and/or observe the world around them in a safe and nurturing environment.

The staff uses eye contact, hugs, and other nurturing behaviors to develop a sense of trust in the children and help them improve their abilities to communicate and develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Both the room and playground areas are designed for active play and exploration to help develop large muscle skills.

Gambo

Toddlers

As new walkers constantly on the move, whose curiosity drives to climb on, crawl through and hide in to explore the world around them, our lead facilitators ensure they keep growing and developing independence by helping them to improve their abilities to communicate and develop social, emotional cognitive and gross motor skills.

Foglia

Twos Program

As a child approaches age two, their imagination and curiosity give them great energy and creative potential. Staff recognizes they need opportunities to develop and express these capacities. The twos program develop this potential by providing lots of hands-on learning experiences. Materials for art, music, dance, science, and dramatic play enable children to enjoy the process of creating their own ideas and solving their own problems.

Our facilitators use learning opportunities to help children develop self-control by using positive guidance techniques such as modeling, redirecting, setting clear limits, and rewarding acceptable behavior.

Alberello I

Preschool Program

These young learners are seeking new challenges. With our Reggio Emilia approach and Project-Based Learning children are exposed to literacy, music, art, math, and real-life experiences through playful project work, facilitating curiosity, investigation and discovery while building self-confidence.

Opportunities to practice self-help skills are encouraged. Outdoor and indoor play is provided daily to exercise large muscles. Your child is engaged and having fun, not even aware of all the learning that is occurring.

Alberello II

Pre-kindergarten / Kindergarten

Our young learners continue their journey of exploration and discovery through learning experiences and provocations created based on the emerging children’s interests, questions and ideas. The Reggio Emilia philosophy coupled with PBL stimulates all areas of development: physical, social, emotional, and intellectual, providing numerous opportunities for discussions, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking.

The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of individual differences in ability and interest. Opportunities to learn to make responsible choices are made available to the child.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
